In 1991, we opened our first shop in Dry Fork, VA. The 1800 square foot shop had one employee and was then called Steve Stallings Enterprises. Business began to pick-up and two more employees were hired. The small shop quickly ran out of space.
Five years later, in 1996, we moved from Dry Fork to a rented location on Moorefield Bridge Road in Danville, VA. The larger location had approximately 3000 square feet which made room for an additional three employees. The shop continued to grow its client base through quality work and service.
In 2003 we had to expand again. To solve our space issue, we purchased a 12,500 square foot building located on Riverside Drive in Danville, VA. The next three months were spent renovating the building. In January of 2004, we opened what is now known as Stallings Collision Center. Over the next year with business booming, we had several new developments. Stallings Collision Center now needed twelve employees. In March of 2004, we installed our first down-draft spray booth. In April of 2004, we were honored to receive our first of many insurance direct repairs. A second down-draft spray booth was added in 2005 to accommodate our incoming insurance claims.
As business grew even more and the need for more space became apparent, Stallings Collision Center looked into adding more work space at the Riverside Drive location. A more practical solution was reached to open a second location to better serve our customers. In 2008, we purchased and built a 13,500 square foot facility on the outskirts of Danville in the Blairs Area. Early 2009, Stallings Collision Center North opened. This facility also has two down-draft spray booths and two frame machine. During this time Stallings Collision Center North was the first collision center in the area to offer Envirobase High Performance paint from PPG. This is a waterborne environmentally-friendly paint all of our locations currently use today.
Over the past several years, we have continued to expand to meet our customer’s needs, now with seven locations. All of our facilities have state of the art equipment and PPG environmentally friendly paint systems.
